UniTutor.ca was founded with one clear conviction: that access to high-quality academic mentorship should not be a privilege. Too many students across Canada sit in classrooms feeling lost — not because they lack ability, but because they haven't had the right guidance at the right moment.
We built UniTutor to change that. Every session is delivered one-on-one, tailored precisely to the student in front of us — their course, their gaps, their goals. We don't run group sessions or use standardised worksheets. We listen, we diagnose, and we teach in a way that actually makes sense to you.
UniTutor.ca was founded by Dr. Nagina Amir, a PhD chemist with a lifelong passion for education. Having navigated the demanding path of academic science herself — from undergraduate studies to a PhD in Chemistry — Dr. Amir understands exactly what it takes to excel at every level of the Canadian education system.
She saw students struggling not from lack of intelligence, but from lack of support — particularly in sciences and mathematics. She saw pre-med students overwhelmed by MCAT preparation. She saw Grade 12 students stressed about university admissions. And she decided to act.
Together with a dedicated co-founder and team, she built UniTutor from the ground up — a platform where expert knowledge meets genuine care for student outcomes. UniTutor is committed to delivering personalized academic support to students from coast to coast.
