Dr. Nagina Amir holds a PhD in Chemistry and founded UniTutor with a passion for making expert academic support accessible to every student. She teaches Chemistry for Grades 9–10 and at the university level, and provides personalized mentorship for pre-university and pre-med students. She also guides aspiring physicians through the medical school application process — from course selection to interview preparation.
Amir Rehmani is the Co-Founder of UniTutor, bringing a strong business background from a UK university MBA program. He provides strategic leadership and operational direction that enables UniTutor to grow and serve students effectively across Canada. His focus on quality and structure ensures that every student and family has a seamless experience from first inquiry to final session.
Areena Amir holds a BMSc Honours degree and is a medical student — giving her a unique and invaluable perspective on what it truly takes to succeed on the path to medicine. She teaches Biology and provides mentorship for pre-university and pre-med students, drawing on her own recent experience to offer practical, honest, and motivating guidance to students navigating the same journey.
Nasir Mehboob manages the UniTutor website and all technical operations. With a background in Information Technology, he ensures the platform runs smoothly and that students, parents, and tutors can access the support and information they need online. His work behind the scenes keeps UniTutor's digital presence reliable, professional, and up to date.
Maia holds a Bachelor's degree in Pathology and Pharmacology and a Master's in Medical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. Her extensive background in biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and health sciences allows her to help students understand challenging scientific concepts while connecting classroom material to meaningful, real-world examples. She believes no single teaching method works for every student, and her experience supporting neurodiverse individuals has strengthened her ability to recognize different learning needs and adapt her lessons accordingly. Whether a student is early in their academic career or preparing for postgraduate studies, Maia helps them build confidence, develop effective study strategies, and become an independent learner.
Anuj Nayak is currently a second-year Biochemistry student at McMaster University, with extensive experience tutoring high school math and science for Grades 9–12. Having recently completed high school with a 98% average and holding a perfect 4.0 GPA in university, Anuj brings knowledgeable, confident instruction to every session. He has a passion for teaching and puts particular focus on fundamental concepts, helping students build a strong foundation for more advanced material.
Seran Naventhan is a second-year Computer Science and Mathematics student at the University of Toronto with a passion for teaching and strong tutoring experience. With three years of tutoring high school math and a year teaching computer science, Seran has developed a real aptitude for working with students. He maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA in university and earned a 97% average in high school, including the Enriched Advanced Functions award upon graduation. Seran ensures every student learns based on their individual needs, helping them strengthen their fundamentals and succeed in Math, Physics, or Computer Science.
